Question:
What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get your hands on any particular book?

Answer:
I'm really boring, I know, and I'm fully aware of it, but the craziest thing would probably be trailing my dad all through the bookstore with this one book in front of me the entire time and I would just stare at him and get all in his face until he finally got so fed up with me that he just snatched the book out of my hands and was all like, "Fine. You win. You get the book. Now leave me alone."

  2. My mom was always really willing to buy me books, as long as I was reading them. I made deals like "If I finish these two books by the end of the week, we go to the bookstore." I was a nerdy kid :) Reading to Penguins

  3. I did that too!! I had forgotten all about that - but thanks for refreshing my memory! I wandered around behind him, book in hand - saying things like "Gee, this book is supposed to be so wonderful!" and "My best friend got to pre-order it!" (The crazy part is that I was probably 25 at the time and home visiting for my baby shower *lol* )

Stop by and see my TGIF / Follow Friday this week!

  6. Haha that's so funny - I definitely did the same thing to my parents. They eventually accepted that if we were going to go in to a bookstore, they were buying me a book.
