Oh, you're so jealous that I have a blog meme that I've been doing for a month and a half now that nobody's even batted an eyelash at. As I've said before, you're jealous at my superior blog meme. Anyway, now that we've passed the no-good, self-pity party, onward, onto the professional part of this blog post, the part that I always post no matter what. :)

Movie Monday is a weekly blog meme hosted by Taylor at A Booky Wonderland and it features the last book you've read and how it could either be suitable for a movie, how it compares to the movie, or what you expect in the upcoming movie.

This week's book is Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver.

SUMMARY
What if you only had one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life?

Samantha Kingston has it all: looks, popularity, the perfect boyfriend. Friday, February 12, should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it turns out to be her last.

The catch: Samantha still wakes up the next morning. Living the last day of her life seven times during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death--and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.

This book was really sad, and I hated the ending of it. I really wished that after everything that this boo went through, there would be some type of resolution that would make me happy. However, I was really satisfied with the book, and I'm aware that Lauren Oliver likes to write really sad endings to really great books and love stories.

If this was a movie, I'd really like the story to be as well played-out as the book, except for maybe the part where Sam was always like a doormat to her boyfriend, Rob. I know she's popular, but just because they were supposed to do "it" the day she died and she really didn't doesn't mean she has to go through with it because she's scared of upsetting her boyfriend.

I'll admit, the premise of the idea of living your last day before you really die and learning something worthwhile is a little cheesy, but I think that it would still make a great movie to portray, though, and I would definitely watch it. Also, I think that the ending is really great, because I think what Sam ended up doing was really noble.

Movie Monday—5

And thus we enter another Movie Monday that nobody really pays attention to anyway. *Sigh* But I like it, so I'm okay with that. Anyways, I just recently tried to finish Twilight and I thought that I would like it, at least, a little more than I just did. I think I'm still making a review on it, though, and maybe I'm going to try to finish it. But, no promises.

Now that that's out of the way, I have the professional yuck stuff that I have to get through. Movie Monday is a weekly meme hosted by me, Taylor, at A Booky Wonderland. It highlights the last book you've read and comparing it to the movie adaptation of that book or what you would expect if it were to be made into a book.

So, Twilight... I didn't exactly get it at first, when I first read it on fourth grade. I got to the second chapter and deemed it impossible to read, returning it to the library and never bothering to look at it again. I think, as a reader, that it's so much better to read all the successful books out there instead of just whatever's "being made into the next blockbuster."

Wow, I just left this blog post for like an hour to Facebook and Twitter and all that... I'm a horrible blogger... :( Back to Twilight! I found the entire plot of the first sixty-eight percent (yes, I actually got that far, or short, depending on how you look at it) slow and I didn't think Bella was a really weak heroine, but I thought she was definitely obsessed with Edward. As for the movie, I found it a lot easier to get through because you couldn't hear Bella's thoughts on Edward.

What about you? What did you think about Twilight, and if you haven't read it, do you want to read it?

Movie Monday—4

This lovely blog button was made by Eileen at ***Singing and Reading in the Rain*** because I am both incompetent at button making and could never pull something off at this quality. I also want to apologize for being so inactive on this blog and not giving it all the attention that it definitely deserves. I know I made this promise last time to try better, and I'm going to keep trying more.

Movie Monday is a weekly meme hosted by me, Taylor, at A Booky Wonderland which features upcoming movies that have been adapted from books. This is a great meme to participate in if you are also participating in Parajunkee's Movie to Book challenge. So the last book I read this week was actually Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler, but I haven't changed my "Currently Reading" yet and I have to finish my review, but I will try my best to have it done by tomorrow.

SUMMARY
Once upon a time, Hudson knew exactly what her future looked like. Then a betrayal changed her life, and knocked her dreams to the ground. Now she’s a girl who doesn’t believe in second chances... a girl who stays under the radar by baking cupcakes at her mom’s diner and obsessing over what might have been.

So when things start looking up and she has another shot at her dreams, Hudson is equal parts hopeful and terrified. Of course, this is also the moment a cute, sweet guy walks into her life... and starts serving up some seriously mixed signals. She’s got a lot on her plate, and for a girl who’s been burned before, risking it all is easier said than done.

It’s time for Hudson to ask herself what she really wants, and how much she’s willing to sacrifice to get it. Because in a place where opportunities are fleeting, she knows this chance may very well be her last...
I don't think this will be a movie anytime soon, but it seems like something ABC Family would make a movie out of. You know, that type of movie about self-discovery and a good romance added in at the end. I, for one, would totally watch this if it were made into a movie because it just seems like a great type of chick-flick that makes you want to cry and just burst into tears. This was an awesomely written book, and I seriously loved it, and I love how everything worked out. This would definitely be one of those chick-flicks you see on ABC Family. Definitely.
