QUESTION: Have you ever looked at a book's cover and thought, This is going to horrible? But, was instead pleasantly surprised? Show us the cover and tell us about the book.

Answer: Well, I was at the library a few times previously, and I'd seen this one book a few times, and it looked like this:

This cover looks pretty good, but I wasn't interested because the synopsis didn't sell me and I didn't feel very drawn to it, but I decided to borrow it anyway, convinced I wouldn't like it. But, oh, I was so wrong. This book was great, the romance was great, and everything in it was so great. This book is now one of my favorites, and I'm so happy that I ended up getting it.

QUESTION: What book would you love to see made into a movie or television show and do you have actors/actresses in mind to play the main characters?

Answer: One book I really liked was the Hunger Games, and I really hope that the movies don't turn out to be a flop. I hope Jennifer Lawrence nails her role and so does Gale and Peeta. For the Harry Potter books, there was so much left out but it was pretty good in the end, and I saw Twilight and have yet to finish reading the books (I keep getting distracted with the other choices of books I have) but everyone said those had issues.

I think that Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler would also make a great movie. I didn't necessarily love it to pieces, but I think it would be a great thing to show on ABC Family or something like that. It just seems like that type of movie you'd see on that channel. I can't really envision the characters, though.

QUESTION: Activity!!! Take a picture or describe where you love to read the most…

Answer: I have this cute little beanbag that I got a long time ago but I still love and I like to read. My camera's currently not working, so I decided to find a picture from the lovely Internet. That's not ME on the beanbag, of course, but a model. I'm really sorry that the picture's blurry, but it's the best I could do and my point was for you to be able to see the basic design of it.

QUESTION: I like unique names for characters and am looking forward to coming up with some when I start writing. What’s the most unique character name you’ve come across?

Answer: I also really like to have an original character name. What fun would reading be if every boy lead was either named John or Chris? Or if every girl lead was named Mary or Isabella? It's fine to use those as names, but it's so much easier to create really original names. The most unique character name I've ever come across would have to be maybe that guy from Incarnate, I think it was? He was Ana's dad and his name was Menehem. I think there was this other person named Werbenger or something like that. I can't remember it at all! If you know who I'm talking about, please tell me in the comments! I know it starts with a W but I couldn't even pronounce the name, let alone spell it!

Question: What would you prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?

Answer: I would read hundreds of mediocre books rather than reading my favorite book over and over again because even though I have many favorite books, I think that the mediocre books are great for staying interested in books. What fun is reading a book that you basically know the plot of? Even though it's your favorite book and I definitely like to read those books a couple of times over, I still would rather get a little more variety than experiencing the same type of language and writing over again.

Question:
Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kickass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male?

Answer:
I basically will read ANYTHING with a good romance story in it. I don't know why, but I think it's because I like the feeling of getting giddy with excitement and wanting to swoon over the love interests and wishing that I were the heroine so I could get a chance with that love interest. Trust me, I've playing pretend like that more than necessary. ;)

Question:
Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?

Answer:
I stay away from historical fiction as much as possible because I find it extremely tiresome and boring. Sometimes I'll make an exception, but usually I just don't really like it. History in general doesn't appeal to me because even though history repeats itself, as my father always says, it's always the same facts over and over again. In fiction, you have the same concept but different details.

Question:
What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get your hands on any particular book?

Answer:
I'm really boring, I know, and I'm fully aware of it, but the craziest thing would probably be trailing my dad all through the bookstore with this one book in front of me the entire time and I would just stare at him and get all in his face until he finally got so fed up with me that he just snatched the book out of my hands and was all like, "Fine. You win. You get the book. Now leave me alone."

Question:
Many readers/bloggers are also big music fans. Tell us about a few of your favorite bands/singers that we should listen to in 2012.

Answer:
I don't really have a favorite singer. I'm not even thirteen yet, so for now I'm very familiar with the top artists of our generation. I actually didn't even KNOW about pop and rock and soul and country and rap music until I was, like, 9. But now, I think I like Katy Perry, Adele, Rihanna, and OneRepublic. I like OneRepublic a lot, especially Good Life and Apologize by them. I like basically every artist out there that's making it on the Billboard Top Ten, except Justin Beiber. I can't stand Justin Beiber. I don't know why. Scream it me if you will, but I just don't like Justin Beiber.

Question:
Go count the number of unread books sitting on your shelf. How many?

Answer:
I've read literally every book on my bookshelf. At the rate I usually go at, I have to reread very often! There aren't a lot of new books anyway, I get most of them from the library. Most are little picture books, so those don't count. So really, I only have thirty or so real books on my shelf...

QUESTION
The New Year is here -- and everyone wants to know your New Years Blogging Resolution! What are you going to try to revise, revamp and redo for 2012 on your blog?

ANSWER
I want to revise the layout of my blog a little, make it a little organized. I think I'm also going to play around with the designs of my blogs. Who knows? Maybe in the 2012, when you revisit this blog, everything will have changed! I think I want to try that, since I want something new :). I need to vamp up my pages, too. They're currently so extremely boring that I really have to make them better.

QUESTION
If you had to spend eternity inside the pages of a book which book would you choose and why?

ANSWER
I would choose Divergent, because living in the world of the different factions, with the Dauntless, Erudite, Candor, and Abnegation, it would be so fun. I'd be Erudite because I'm a total bookworm and smartypants, and I'd definitely be happy there. I'd totally chicken out in the Dauntless faction, and as much as I want to, I'm not honest most of the time and I try to be modest and generous, but it sometimes slips a few feet away.

QUESTION

When you've read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

ANSWER
I usually borrow every one of my books from the library, since my money resources are limited. But the books I can't find there and are crazy to read, I'll buy and then keep it.

Question:
Keeping with the Spirit of Giving this season, what book do you think EVERYONE should read and if you could, you would buy it for all of your family and friends?

Answer:
You should all read Divergent by Veronica Roth and Matched by Ally Condie. I'm really into dystopian right now, and those are the two that have really gotten me into it. I have yet to read Crossed by Ally Condie and Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi, or even Wither by Lauren DeStefano, but I want to really bad and have requested it from my library! What other dystopian novels do you think I should read? I also think that everyone should read Die for Me by Amy Plum, the most recent novel I finished and it's really romantic and awesome. Of course, if you need heavy amounts of action in your plots, I wouldn't read the book, but I would buy all of these books for my relatives, mostly to convince them that the books I read aren't "junky" which they are so NOT! Paranormal romance, fantasy, and dystopian are awesome genres, right?

QUESTION
What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don't like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!

ANSWER
I absolutely hate it whenever an author writes said over and over again. There are so many other ways to say said, so it really ticks me off whenever that happens. Maybe it's just all those writing lessons on using oher ways to express said, but I seriously hate that. I also hate it when one second they're talking about one thing and then the next they're miles away. This doesn't happen often, but it drives me crazy when it does.
