Question: What would you prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?
Answer: I would read hundreds of mediocre books rather than reading my favorite book over and over again because even though I have many favorite books, I think that the mediocre books are great for staying interested in books. What fun is reading a book that you basically know the plot of? Even though it's your favorite book and I definitely like to read those books a couple of times over, I still would rather get a little more variety than experiencing the same type of language and writing over again.
I could not agree with you more. I think I'd get bored quickly if I only had one or two books to read.

Spot on answer. Still, I would read my fave repeatedly rather than reading a hundred books I wouldn't like.

Just stopping by for the Follow Friday!!! Good answer...but I think for me I would have to say re reading my favorite book. Although its a pretty tough question
ReplyDeleteMediocre books usually send me into a reading slump, so I'd have to choose reading my favorite books over and over. To choose reading mediocre books would mean giving up reading Harry Potter, and I swear every time I re-read those books it's like picking up the book for the first time. Of course I know the general plot, but I always notice these slight details that I missed during my previous reads!

Good point. I'd prefer reading a good book over a 100 mediocre books though. But the mediocre are important to. New follower.
ReplyDeleteHello I'm following! I prefer a great book over mediocres but sometimes, we choose mediocre books and at some point we say:" wow this is so bad... but also so entertaining.
